LET’s start a new adventure and make something amazing!
We will be performing the following plays:
– Picasso at the Lapin Agile by Steve Martin
– Chamber music by Arthur Kopit
Since they are both one-acts, we will performing them both on the same nights.
The auditions dates are:
– February 27
– March 5 (callbacks)
The audition packets for both plays will be posted later this week; you do not need to know things by heart but it is good to give them a read and look at what the directors want exactly. This is also the moment to look into the play and find out if you have a preference for a role.
If you would like to be part of our awesome backstage team, please take the time to consider which elements of backstage you are most interested in. Experience not required, but enthusiasm is.
The application process for auditions this semester has changed a bit. To make sure that we are able to see everyone we ask you to fill in the following form before Sunday. This also goes for backstagers.
For actors: we will get back to you on Monday with a schedule telling you when you should be present at the auditions.
For backstagers: you don’t need to be present on the audition dates but you are more than welcome to. Do please fill in the form so we know that you want to be a part of LET.
If you haven’t filled out the form you’re still welcome to try and audition, however, we can’t guarantee that there will be time to see you then or you might have to wait for a little while.
There is NO experience needed for auditions. This is also the case for people who want to do backstage. So please feel free to apply and audition.

– Rehearsal weekend 29 – 31 March
– Dress Rehearsal 1 June (not set in stone yet)
– Performances 6 – 8 June

How to apply
Everyone is welcome to come to auditions if you want to join LET. Backstagers are also asked to come to the auditions just so we can sign you up and you can get to know us. At the moment we are looking at what to do next semester but auditions will be held at the beginning of February. More information about the auditions such as what plays we’ll be doing, what roles are available, and what to prepare, will be posted towards the end of January. Less fond of the lime-light? New backstage crew is always welcome, and no production can do without. Being a backstager, you will be responsible for one (or more!) of the following: set, props, costumes, hair and make-up, or lights and sound. Experience in stage production is welcome, but most of our backstagers are beginners when they first join – so no worries if you haven’t been a backstager before. Curious to know more? The stage manager is a very important part of the team. He or she basically manages everything that goes on behind the scenes, both during rehearsals as well as during the actual performances. The role of stage manager is a lot of fun, but it requires quite some time and dedication on your part, too. Interested? Look at the following file for more information:

We are also looking for some members who won’t be involved with the plays themselves that much, but who are still key in the entire process. Specifically, we’d like to have a dedicated designer for posters, flyers, etc., a photographer to document our rehearsals, performances, and other gatherings, and a videographer, to make short trailers and to film the performances.
